The clients approached ade architecture, having been inspired by our award-winning House Two, Wandsworth Common. The clients had lived in their house for eight years and felt that it needed radically updating and reconfiguring.
The new double height kitchen extension has the look and feel of a large New York urban loft, but with a strong sense of connection to the garden. The new lower ground floor space is complemented by a glazed internal screen, which gives the impression that the space is open plan, but actually separates the new kitchen, living and dining space from the snug. Other features include a mezzanine level library and study.
The interior designer, Emily Cove, worked closely with the clients on the interior fit-out.
